John Tinnelly and Sons have recently
achieved accreditation to Safe-T-Cert
across multiple divisions within
the company. With rapid growth
over the last number of years,
and with sites located throughout
Ireland and England, the company
is delighted to receive external
certification of their long established
health and safety management system.
Patsy Tinnelly, Managing Director,
explains
“John Tinnelly and
Sons has long recognised the
need for a stringent, comprehensive
and independently verified Health
and Safety management structure,
not only for the well-being
of employees, but also for the
peace- of-mind of existing and
potential clients.
“We have three separate
divisions: Tinnelly Demolition;
Tinnelly Recycling and Tinnelly
Environmental (asbestos removal
& surveying). Health &
Safety is paramount at all times.
Our dedicated health and safety
manager, Micheal Canavan audits
our health and safety management
system on an ongoing basis.
We recognise that Safe-T
Cert accreditation provides
us with an excellent framework
to improve the quality of our
services whilst demonstrating
the highest standards of health
and safety management. In unison
with ongoing investment in training
and the latest plant, John Tinnelly
& Sons continue to offer
a cost effective service to
the highest safety standards.
The certification means
our clients can rest assured
that an effective safety and
health management system is
in place on all John Tinnelly
and Sons sites. Importantly,
there is no need for them to
independently audit the systems.
– they can just check
for us on the Safe-T-Cert register,
and they know there is full
compliance of all relevant national
and international safety regulations
and accepted best practices.”
In line with their continued
improvement policy John Tinnelly
and Sons Ltd. are working toward
accreditation to internationally
recognised standards in Health
& Safety, Quality and Environmental
management namely: OHSAS 18001:1999;
ISO 14001:1999 & BS 8555
(Environmental Management) and
ISO 9001: 2000 (Quality Management).
