Behind the curtain at Tinnelly Group HQ

Tinnelly Group can help you turn your ferrous scrap metal into cash. Our goal when you visit our facility, is to make your life as easy as possible. We can take delivery into our yard in Newry, or for larger quantities we can come and collect from you.

Tinnelly Group owns and operates a modern metal processing facility adjacent to our Head offices in Newry.

We are well established within the industry and are members of the BMRA (British Metal Recycling Association). We handle everything from one-off deliveries of a few kilos, to large contracts on a daily or weekly basis, helping you meet your recycling targets, while maximising your profits.

Our Recycling facility is conveniently located in Newry just off the main A1, midway between Belfast and Dublin.

We can also dismantle and recover metal from your site or project, offering a complete removal and recovery service.  We have a selection of specialist equipment such as mobile balers, shears and heavy lift capabilities available on request and all of our collection vehicles are monitored by our computer tracking system to ensure security.

Further to this, our facility in Newry is a registered Authorised Treatment Facility which means we are fully licensed by the Northern Ireland Agency (NIEA) to safely recycle End of Life Vehicles (ELV).

We scrap and process thousands of vehicles such as cars, jeeps, vans & lorries from across Ireland every year. We issue Certificates of Destruction (C.O.D.) for each ELV where relevant details are available, whether from the north or south of Ireland.

Catalytic Converters can be a valuable item when it comes to recycling.  Our experience has shown every catalytic converter is different. They may look similar, yet the amount of precious metals they contain differs, therefore some converters are worth much more than others. That’s why we will evaluate every single catalytic converter that allows our customers to generate better profit on their item.

Our services don’t stop here, we also offer concrete recycling services on your site. We operate a number of Extec concrete crushers, Volvo loading shovel, and excavators, which we can hire for your project. Delivery of plant to and from the site is also catered for by us.

Crushing demolition arising on-site offers a range of environmental, logistical and financial benefits. Crushing reduces pollution by drastically cutting traffic movements to and from the site. It also keeps concrete debris out of landfill. The aggregate produced provides the construction site with a ready-made piling mat along with other applications including a substitute for virgin aggregates.

And lastly, the Tinnelly Group have a wide range of collection services available for our recycling clients across Ireland, servicing all industries. The following collection services can be arranged, all of which are fully traceable with our on board tracking systems.

  • Bins (Roll on / Roll off)
  • Skips – Various sizes
