Company Director, Patrick Tinnelly appears on the Late Late Show

Patrick Tinnelly, one of the Tinnelly Group, Company Director's celebrated his Down All Ireland Minor win of 1987 on Late Late Show.

Last Friday night, saw the Down Minor All Ireland winning team of 1987 take to the stage on the Late Late Show, GAA Special. This was part of a plan by the Late Late show to surprise the host, Patrick Kielty, who was also part of this winning team.

The surprise went to plan, and Patrick (Tinnelly) along with his teammates from 1987 winning team walked onto the Late Late show stage. They were also accompanied by the Sam Maguire Cup, carried on stage by Mark Quinn (Captain of 1987 team). This was all to the shock and delight of the host, Patrick (Kielty).

Catching up with our Director, Patrick (Tinnelly) he said it was a great experience catching up with all his old teammates and they all enjoyed the RTE studios on the build up to walking out on stage.

He also got to meet and had a quick chat to local Mayobridge clubman, Charlie Smyth who also appeared following his NFL contract with New Orlean Saints.

A funny moment on the build up to the day was, when the boys of 1987 were discussing where to stay for the night, one of the team said, “Why don’t we stay in the team hotel from 1987, Tara Towers”. Patrick (Tinnelly) had to let them down easy as Tara Towers was no longer standing, courtesy of a project undertook by the Tinnelly Group.

Well done Patrick, and we hope you enjoyed your night.
